MVCA came to Resource Marketing with an interesting project. Could we help them raise money for a new building by producing a short film that would be shown at the campaign launch dinner? Their objective was to raise approximately $200,000. Turns out, we doubled that. “Living Our Faith, Launching Our Future” is the result:




The Emotional Connection

Working with a committee to produce a short film is not an easy task. Many competing visions come into play. We convinced MVCA that they needed to touch people’s hearts before they could touch their wallets. We spent the summer interviewing parents, students, and faculty on how MVCA has changed their lives. What didn’t make the short film we added to the fundraising web site we built for them, MVCA-Future.com. On the night of the event you could hear a pin drop as the audience watched the film. Miami Valley was able to raise $400,000 in a single evening, double their expectations. A survey at the end of the evening confirmed that our short film was the contributing factor in opening peoples hearts to contribute to this worthy cause.
